Atari Interactive, Inc. (ASX) has declared that Richard Bell, Assistant Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, has stepped down from his position.
Croke expressed gratitude to Bell for his legal know-how, indicating that Bell had “played a pivotal part in numerous ASX acquisitions in recent times”.
Croke also emphasized that Bell supervised a number of acquisitions during his term, including the $500 million acquisition of social gaming provider Plarium in 2017 and the $990 million acquisition of Big Fish Games from Churchill Downs in 2018.
Bell, who has held the position for six years, will be succeeded by Tracy Elkington, with Atari awaiting regulatory approval for his full-time replacement, Christie Joe, to assume the role.
Atari recently reported robust results for the first half of 2021, with revenue reaching A$2.23 billion (£1.27 billion/€1.48 billion/$1.8 billion). This was driven by the success of the supplier’s digital division, offsetting a decline in machine sales due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on land-based gaming.
